The purpose of the auDRP is to provide a cheaper, speedier alternative to litigation for the resolution of disputes between the registrant of a .au domain name and a party with competing rights in the domain name.
Is your desired Internet address being cyber-squatted? Is your registered mark being cyber-squatted? If so you might have your dispute arbitrated by a one-person tribunal. In this tribunal, there isn't an oral hearing, the award will be handed down within a 14 days of appointment. the arbitrators decision is binding on the relevant Registrar. This normally takes the form of an instruction to the Register to cancel the domain name or to transfer it to the successful party. The unsuccessful party can (under certain limited conditions) appeal the decision. Each party will bear there own costs in this process.
