Insta-message

Instagram's Bolt is a messaging app that lets its users send photo and video messages, and easily delete them by tapping on their smartphone screen.

The app will be  available on iOS and Android, and is currently only available  in New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa. It will no doubt be rolled out across other markets in the future.

Facebook, which owns Instagram, has been keen to take on Snap chat given it has been unable to acquire that business. Apart from wanting to own the world news market they appear to have their eyes set on dominating the messaging market - and directly going head to head with  Snap chat in the process.
